The Story Behind Iconic Photo – "Dali Atomicus"

In 1948 Salvador Dali and Philippe Halsman created the famous “Dali Atomicus”. It was the time when Photoshop was not  introduced to the mankind and this is the reason why it took 28 tries to take a photo. Halsman would count to four before snapping each shot; the cats and water were thrown on “three” while Dalí jumped on “four.” When Halsman did his job, Dalí completed the image by painting directly onto the print.
